Get ready to rev things up a notch and jump behind the wheel of a UTV on this off-road wilderness safari ideal for the whole family!
Take a scenic route from the cruise ship dock to the White River base camp as your driver shares entertaining stories of Ketchikan including the history of the Ward Cove Pulp Mill and the old logging days. At base camp, your guide will go over driving instructions and assist in gearing up for the adventure. The trail is over 5-miles each way, so get settle into your seat, get your camera ready, and prepare to get muddy!
Follow the UTV leader in single-file formation up and down the mountainside. Explore the mountainous trails of the George Inlet Fjords and the hidden beauty of the Tongass National Forest en route to Mahoney Lake. The path has several stops along the way to soak up the magnificent scenery and wildlife viewing. Be sure to capture as many photos as possible and take turns driving. The remote location is perfect for adventure-seekers and those wishing to go off the beaten path. Lunch is smokin’ reindeer link served on a warm bun and a cup of simmering chili -- what's more outdoor living than that? Leave room for a cup of hot chocolate or coffee!
Please note: Participants must be between 50" and 78" in height and weigh between 40 lbs. and 300 lbs. Drivers must be 18 years old and have a valid driver's license with them; 16-year-olds can drive with a valid driver's license and a parent/guardian in the UTV with them. Closed-toe shoes required, and guests should wear clothing that can get dirty. Helmets are provided and must be worn. Guests should be in good physical condition. This tour is not recommended for pregnant women or guests with back, hip, or neck problems. Not suitable for guests with mobility issues.
