The ancient process of thatching has been preserved by the villagers, and is still used in many structures today. Gold mining in the nearby hills is an important part of the economy here and you’ll learn a little bit about the extraction process. Stop at a traditional clay brick factory at Kebon Talo to see the painstaking process of making a seemingly simple object—you will have a whole new appreciation for brick houses after seeing this. Finally, head to Sekotong Beach, where long white sandy bays are lapped by crystal-clear blue waters. At Cocotinos, enjoy the beach view and a refreshment is served while you watch a traditional cultural performance .
