Kozanji Temple, famous as the site where Takasugi Shinsaku raised his army during the Genko War. This temple, established during the Kamakura period, captivates visitors with its serene atmosphere.
Next, you’ll visit the Chofu Mori Residence. This residence was completed in 1903 by Mori Mototoshi, the 14th head of the Chofu Mori family. You’ll enjoy the imposing main house, built in the style of a samurai residence, and the beautiful Japanese garden surrounded by white walls.
Finally, make a photo stop at Karato Market. Karato Market is bustling with locals and tourists seeking fresh seafood. Although the weekdays are quiet, weekends are very crowded by the tourists there to buy seafood. You’ll quickly see the market, which delivers fish to all over Japan.
