Today, you'll visit the Tokaido Hiroshige Museum of Art located in Yui Honjin Park. The restored ruins of Yui Honjin, originally a lodging facility for high-ranking officials during the Edo period, include the entrance gate, stone walls, wooden fences and a watering place for horses. The park features an expanse of green lawn and is a favorite for recreation. Enter the Yui Honjin Memorial Hall and the Art Museum, which primarily houses works by the famous Ukiyo-e painter Utagawa Hiroshige.
Next, you'll walk to Miyuki-tei — a Japanese-style house within a garden. Relax in the traditional house over a cup of matcha (Japanese green tea) served via a tea ceremony.
A drive out to the Miho-no-Matsubara rewards you with a foreground of gorgeous scenery — green pine trees, white-capped waves, blue sea — and a backdrop that includes stunning views (weather permitting) of Mt Fuji. This is the stuff of postcards. Walk through the pine grove to spy a 650-year-old Japanese black pine called Hagoromo-no-Matsu. It is said that an angel bathing in the waters hung her clothes on its branches. A fisherman took the garments, and the angel had to win them back by dancing for him. Appropriately, a statue of French ballerina Elene Giuglaris stands next to the tree.

Tour requires about a mile of walking at Miho-no-Matsubara. Terrain includes gravel paths, inclines, and many uneven steps. Not advisable for guests using a wheelchair or for those with mobility limitations. Photography is not allowed at the Tokaido Hiroshige Art Museum. You must remove your shoes at one or more location(s). A small Japanese snack is served with a cup of matcha green tea. The group may be divided into two groups for the tea ceremony. Traffic can be unpredictable; your patience is greatly appreciated if a delay extends the tour duration. Tour does not operate on Mondays. Unfamiliar accents can be challenging; feel free to ask your guide to repeat or elaborate on information, and to speak more slowly so you can fully comprehend and converse.
