Spend a day visiting some of Kyoto's most iconic and beautiful attractions. Ryoanji- temple famous for Rock garden and Bamboo forest at Arashiyama area. A lunch will be served at a local hotel. Board your motorcoach for a narrated drive to Kyoto. Your first stop is Ryoanji- temple home to the greatest Zen rock garden ever created. The garden is 3600 square feet in area and features 15 rocks set in white gravel. They are so arranged that one is always hidden from view. Lunch is served at a local restaurant. After lunch, Continue to explore Arashiyama area. Enjoy walking through the tranquil bamboo forest from Nonomiya Shrine, where maiden Imperial princesses once purified themselves before serving at the Great Shrine of Ise. Then after visiting Okouchi sanso, walk back to the parking area to board your motor coach for the return to ship.
Your tour concludes with a drive along the same scenic route back to your ship.
Please Note:- The drive between Kobe and Kyoto is approximately 100 minutes each way. Passengers can expect traffic and delays. Please bring credit cards or local currency for additional purchases. Wear comfortable walking shoes.Shoes must be removed at Ryoanji Temple. At Okouchi Sanso, there are many steps with rock, hilly places, uneven road and might be slippery. Tour contains a lot of walking and is not considered as suitable for passenger with walking difficulties.
