Ana’a, one of the remote atolls of the Tuamotu Archipelago in French Polynesia, isn’t as frequently visited as Tahiti or Bora Bora, but it has its own strong cultural heartbeat. Events there are often centered around community, tradition, and the rhythms of lagoon and ocean life.
Visit the village of Tuuhora and enjoy a typical 'Ori Tahiti'(dance) accompanied by drums (pahu), conch shells, and chanting. Costumes are woven from pandanus leaves, shells, and flowers grown on the atoll. These performances often tell stories about ancestors, legends of the sea, or the atoll’s unique spirit.
After, there is time to walk around and enjoy this beautiful destination.
