Discover the highlights of Aitutaki Lagoon on this relaxed, scenic lagoon cruise combining snorkeling, island exploration, and pristine beach time. Departing from Arutanga Pier, your captain begins the journey with a friendly introduction and onboard safety briefing before heading out across turquoise waters.
After a short 15-minute boat ride, arrive at Honeymoon Island Sand Bank for an unforgettable snorkeling experience. Spend approximately 45 minutes in the water, exploring vibrant coral gardens filled with rainbow reef fish and giant clams. Honeymoon Island is also famous as the nesting area of the Red-tailed Tropicbird (Tavake).
Continue with a 25-minute cruise to Motu Rakau, where you may be lucky enough to spot local turtles. Enjoy a 40-minute stop to walk through native Tamanu (Polynesian Mahogany) forest while watching White Terns dancing above the treetops.
A short 10-minute transfer brings you to iconic One Foot Island. Hear the legend of the island from your captain, then enjoy a generous 75-minute stop to stroll, relax on the beach, swim, or simply soak in the beauty of the lagoon. The tour concludes with a fast boat ride back to Arutanga Pier, where you may choose to catch the next tender for lunch at your own arrangement or explore the charming village at your leisure.
Notes:
This tour does not include lunch. Swimwear, reef-safe sunscreen, and towels are recommended. Snorkeling conditions are weather dependent, and wildlife sightings cannot be guaranteed. Timing and stops may vary slightly due to lagoon conditions for guest safety and comfort.
