Spend a fun-filled day with a gourmet demonstration experience at the world-renowned Akaroa Cooking School. Allow your taste buds to appreciate the incredible local produce of Akaroa and the Banks Peninsula.
Begin your day with tea, coffee and fresh-baked pastries, before diving into the Gourmet Akaroa experience at a local cooking school and demonstration facility. Seafood is sourced directly from the wharf, and meat comes from the local butcher, most of which is farmed within a few miles. Fresh vegetables, ripe fruit, nuts, and olive oil are predominantly sourced from the cooking school's own gardens.
This indulgent outing will see you and your group learning all about the rich food culture and history of the Banks Peninsula. Each course is paired with award-winning local wines, making for a perfect day of eating, learning, and fun. By the end, you'll be inspired with new culinary skills and a collection of recipes to recreate these dishes at home.
Afterward, you'll have time to explore the picturesque town of Akaroa and enjoy some shopping.
