This transfer with city orientation may suit you if you would like to explore on your own. It consists of a motorcoach ride from the ship to Christchurch and a brief panoramic drive through the city. Your expert local guide will offer commentary along the way, sharing stories of Maori heritage, colonial history, and the region's resilience and renewal following the 2011 earthquake. On a brief narrated orientation drive through the city, take in key landmarks such as the iconic Christchurch Cathedral (currently undergoing post-earthquake restoration), the tranquil Avon River, and the beautifully reimagined cityscape that blends heritage architecture with bold modern design.
