Designed to suit the active adventurer, this outstanding sailing adventure includes visiting beautiful Motuarohia Island -- part of a protected wildlife sanctuary. The day has a relaxed vibe for those looking for an easy-going outing.
With plenty of deck space to relax aboard the sailing catamaran, enjoy the sights and sounds of the Bay of Islands and its wonderful array of marine wildlife. Watch for seabirds and blue penguins, and of course, there's a chance that you might see some dolphins or orca whales.
Once on the island, you can enjoy a refreshing swim from the beach or follow a hiking trail to a picturesque viewpoint.
A picnic lunch is included, served either on board the catamaran or at the beach on Motuarohia Island.
Please note:
Tour requires walking/standing, climbing up ladder steps to (dis)embark the boat from a dinghy. Physical agility is required. Please realistically assess your physical fitness and ability prior to booking. Terrain includes steep inclines, steps, improved and unimproved walking tracks, roots, rocks and gravel. Wildlife sightings are likely but are not guaranteed. Wear your swimsuit under your clothing; bring a towel, reef-safe/biodegradable sunscreen, light clothing to act as a full cover-up for further protection from the sun, and a hat. Swim at your own risk. The sails will be raised only if wind and water conditions are suitable.
