Travel into the heart of Tasmania's north to Cradle Mountain-Lake St Clair National Park, a magnificent wilderness of pristine forest and glacial lakes.
Take the winding road into an alpine wilderness and wonderland that is one of Tasmania's most popular destinations, yet still retains its isolated, wild character.
From the National Park Visitor Center, board a Coaster for the journey to Dove Lake — the jewel in the crown. On a clear day, the views of the lake framed by the magnificent Cradle Mountain are just breathtaking and also offer spectacular photo opportunities.
Relax and enjoy the vistas while taking in the scents and sounds of the mountain, or take a brisk stroll along a section of the boardwalk that circles the lake.
A delicious lunch is served at a local hotel during your day.
Head back to Burnie, having enjoyed the rugged natural beauty of the Tasmanian wilderness.
Please note: Tour sequence may vary. Dress warmly in layers with a windproof and waterproof outer layer. Wear comfortable walking shoes.
