Ducie Island is one of four islands in the Pitcairn Island group, and it is an uninhabited atoll.
Ducie is a low-lying atoll of sand and coral, partially covered by low vegetation. Due to its remote location and lack of predators, it boasts a population of nesting seabirds, who will lay their eggs right onto the branches of the low shrubs ashore. Look for tropicbirds, white terns, frigatebirds, noddies, and boobies.?
Ducie also has an incredible undersea carpet of healthy, intact coral reef, creating a thriving ecosystem around the perimeter of the island.?
Join your expedition team for snorkeling at Ducie Island (weather permitting), the most remote of the Pitcairn Islands. Its crystal clear lagoon shelters vibrant coral gardens and schools of reef fishand turtles often gliding by. Completely uninhabited and seldom visited, Ducie offers snorkeling in untouched waters where you will feel like one of the only people ever to explore its hidden reefs
