Departing Port Chalmers, you will follow shoreline of Otago Harbor and Sawyers Bay to Dunedin. Head out onto the Otago Peninsula to Taiaroa Head. A special diversity of wildlife abounds on this small headland, including the only mainland albatross colony in the world.
Board an 8-wheel-drive Argo vehicle for a scenic 60-minute off-road journey to view some of the Otago Peninsula's most spectacular wildlife inhabitants. Highlights will include the New Zealand fur seals that live on the rocks, and the sea lions that are naturally sand dwellers.
Return to the ship taking the Otago Peninsula's High Road.
Please note: The Argo ride carries six guests and the ride is across open countryside, involving some steep and bumpy off-road driving. Not advisable for guests using a wheelchair. Wildlife sightings are likely but are not guaranteed.
Argos are off-road vehicles, vehicle and guests are likely to get dusty on trip.
