Ascend to the top of the Cape Range to see the rugged ridges of Charles Knife Gorge and sprawling views across to the Exmouth Gulf. Take a small detour through the town of Exmouth and hear about the history behind some of the names of places and streets in and around this sleepy town (population 2,500).
Visit and learn about the amazing termite mounds that pepper the Cape Range, and see the Harold Holt Communications Base with its spread of enormous aerial towers.
Explore the Jurabi Turtle Centre, and take a closer look at the life-cycle of the endangered turtles of Ningaloo.
Then it's time for a refreshing swim at Turtle Bay -- one of the many turtle nesting grounds for green and loggerhead turtles along the Jurabi Coastal Plain.
Your guide will 'boil the billy' and you'll enjoy a delicious snack.
Re-live the history of North West Cape from the panoramic vantage point of Lighthouse Hill before returning to the ship.
