Combine a visit to two of the city's main attractions with a guided walk through the Tinganes Old Town area and a visit to the National Museum.
From the harbor, travel up to the scenic ridge-top road that runs along the southern part of Streymoy Island, pausing for photos from a viewpoint overlooking the colorful tableau of Tórshavn.
In Tórshavn, you will visit the old part of the city, Tinganes, for a 30- to 50-minute guided walk through the narrow streets. Look up to appreciate the older houses sporting traditional turf roofs.
Transfer to the Faroe Islands National Museum, which covers a millennium of Faroese cultural and human history from the Viking Age to modern times. Learn about the geology of the islands and the whaling era. View the famous medieval pew-ends taken from St Olav's Church in Kirkjubøur.
Please note: Wear comfortable walking shoes. Dress warmly in layers with a windproof and waterproof outer layer; bring a warm hat, gloves and a scarf.
