This Outback adventure takes you to Kalbarri National Park -- a vast asset covering more than 718 square miles.
Set on the lower reaches of the Murchison River, the park is known for its deep gorges that slice and dice through the hinterland, as far as 50 miles from the sea.
Take a short walk at both Hawk's Head Gorge and Ross Graham Gorge to view nature's extremes -- first with magnificent views of the snaking river below and then to the shady river's edge for views of towering cliffs high above.
Tea or coffee is served as you relax and take it all in.
Continue to the town of Kalbarri and admire the floral beauty of the vast and rolling sand plains. Enjoy a picnic lunch here.
The National Park's winding coastal road back to Geraldton leads past the Pink Lake, the Lynton railway station, and the Lynton Convict Settlement.
Please note: Wear comfortable walking shoes. Shade is limited; to avoid sunburn, wear light, long clothing suitable for use as a cover-up. Bring a hat and sunglasses; wear biodegradable sunscreen. Bring bottled water.
