Join one of Melbourne’s most passionate local guides as she warmly welcomes you at Station Pier for your “Marvelous Melbourne” experience. As we travel through Port Melbourne and into the city’s central business district, she will share her deep knowledge of the area, highlighting notable landmarks along beautiful, tree-lined Collins Street and explaining just how Melbourne earned its “Marvelous” reputation.
Enjoy a photographic stop at the gracious Hotel Windsor and Parliament House, both elegant reminders of the post–gold rush era, along with the impressive Old Treasury Building (circa 1858), designed by an extraordinarily talented 19-year-old architect.
Step off the coach to admire the exterior of the UNESCO World Heritage–listed Royal Exhibition Building, a remarkable site layered with history and offering a perfect photo opportunity.
We then visit one of the ten most beautiful libraries in the world—the State Library of Victoria, internationally recognized by the “100 Libraries Award.” Wander through iconic spaces including the Cowan Gallery and the magnificent Domed Reading Room.
Following your exploration of these cultural gems, we conclude the tour with some light refreshments, including a variety of Australian wines (cocktails and spirits not included).
This tour offers visitors an engaging and memorable introduction to Melbourne’s rich architectural heritage and vibrant cultural diversity.
