Join Isabel Simpson -- one of Melbourne's most passionate cultural and social historians -- for a unique and exclusive evening out in one of the world's great Victorian cities. Isabel will relate the story of Marvelous Melbourne and, as you tour by coach though the stunning tree-lined streets of the city, she will point out some of the great architectural icons. While traveling, watch for the Royal Exhibition Building, Parliament House, Hotel Windsor and the Old Treasury Building. The latter was designed in 1858 by a 19-year-old architect. A highlight of your tour is Isabel's extensive local knowledge of the city.
There will be several stops along the way, including one at the temple-like State Library of Victoria, which features one of the world's most impressive reading rooms, with a magnificent glazed dome.
Your tour concludes with early-evening drinks and canapés in an outstanding and exclusive surprise setting.
