A Heart for Community
Connect with the heart and soul of a vibrant community. Whether you're meeting friendly locals, encountering heirloom cultures, engaging with Native peoples, exploring hidden corners, or discovering beloved eateries, let lasting memories begin with warmth, hospitality, and genuine connection.
Step out with a passionate local guide who specializes in Melbourne's social and cultural life.
Travel on foot through the city's fascinating labyrinth of atmospheric arcades and alleyways, where you will discover lanes filled with trendy cafés and eclectic boutiques. And keep your eyes peeled for some rather 'out-there' graffiti street art.
You will see the hand of progress as you encounter buildings that have been renewed and transformed, such as the old General Post Office. This tour is a wonderful way to discover Melbourne's architectural and cultural heritage.
Enjoy a late-morning coffee at a local café and return to the ship on the famous Melbourne tram (escorted by your guide). Guests wishing to stay in town to shop or explore independently are welcome to do so but must make their own way back to the ship.
Please note:
Participants must be able to climb steps to (dis)embark the tram. Wear comfortable walking shoes. Terrain includes even and uneven surfaces, cobblestones, inclines and steps. Shade is limited; to avoid sunburn, wear light, long clothing suitable for use as a cover-up. Bring a hat and sunglasses; wear biodegradable/reef-safe sunscreen. Bring bottled water.
