Take a guided snorkelling tour of the Tangalooma Wrecks with a bit of kick! Using a battery-powered underwater sea scooter that does all the hard work for you. Grasp the handles, push the button and off you go, gliding effortlessly through the water.
The Tangalooma Wrecks are one of Australia’s best snorkelling locations. The 15 awesome ship wrecks were scuttled by the Queensland Government over 30 years ago and today are a haven for a wide range of marine life. You’ll see colourful coral and come face to face with tropical fish – a staggering 200 species of fish call the wrecks home! You might also see stingrays, turtles, dolphins or dugongs that occasionally visit the area.
Please Note:
Wear your swimsuit under your clothing; bring a towel, reef-safe/biodegradable sunscreen, light clothing to act as a full cover-up for further protection from the sun, and a hat. Wildlife sightings are likely but are not guaranteed. All snorkeling equipment including fins, snorkel, mask, full length wetsuit is included. Wetsuits are required to be worn by all guests to participate in this activity with a full range of sizes available for children and adults. Guests must be competent swimmers to participate in this tour. Suitable for guests using a wheelchair– beach wheelchair is available to help guests board the boat. Guests with Asthma may find this excursion difficult, an asthma puffer and/or medication is required on the vessel in order to particpate in this tour. Pregnant guests and those who suffer from epilepsy are required to obtain a medical clearance/doctors’ note specifying they are medically cleared to participate in the seascooter tour, a physical or digital copy of the doctors’ note must be available at tour check-in and must be current within the last 6 months. Min age 8 years. A parent or guardian must be participating with any guests 16 years or age or younger, a parent or guardian must be present for check-in for all guests under the age of 18.
