After tendering to the Golden Bay jetty, you will transfer to the tiny town of Halfmoon Bay, formerly known as Oban. Here, you will find a general store, a hotel and a couple of cafés.
You'll drive to Lee Bay via the white-sand beaches of Butterfield and Horseshoe Bays.
Take in the coastal views from Observation Point and return to the Golden Bay pier.
Please note: It is essential that you wear warm, layered clothing in order to fully enjoy and participate in this excursion. Outer layer should be waterproof and windproof. Bring gloves, a warm hat and a scarf. Antarctic winds and sudden showers can make for cool temperatures on Stewart Island, regardless of the season.
