Set off from Boston for an approximately 90-minute scenic drive to one of the most popular summertime destinations in the US – Cape Cod.
Your first stop will be the oldest town on Cape Cod, Sandwich. Dating back to 1624, this delightful town retains much of its old-world charm. As you drive through the town, admire the buildings that appear as they did in the 18th and 19th centuries. A stop will be made at one of the most photographed sites on Cape Cod, the historical Dexter Grist Mill. The mill is the oldest water mill in the United States and has been lovingly preserved and restored.
At the small port of Hyannis, step aboard a boat for a 1-hour narrated sightseeing cruise along the Cape Cod Canal. During your cruise you’ll capture the views of the Kennedy Compound, sailboats and small villages that dot this peninsula.
Located on the southeast tip of Massachusetts and halfway down the Cape Cod Peninsula is the quaint town of Chatham. Here, you’ll be given approximately 90-minutes of free time to explore at your leisure and purchase lunch or refreshments at one of the local eateries. There are also a variety of local shops to browse and where you can purchase a souvenir of your visit.
As your day draws to an end, sit back and relax as you take the return drive to Boston.
Please note: The Cape Cod Canal cruise may not be exclusive to Seabourn guests.
