Set out on this excursion that is ideal both for photography enthusiasts and for those who just want to bring home the best possible holiday snaps. Award-winning photographer and guide Nigel Quinn will mentor you, offering practical hints on framing the best shots of the fascinating architectural features you will see today. Born in the Magdalen Islands, Nigel specializes in outdoor photography and has a keen interest in long-exposure work. His photography earned him the Arrimage Corporation Culturelle of the Iles de la Madeleine Young Artist award in 2010. Today, he hopes to share with you the wonder he feels looking through the lens and introduce you to the marvels of his island playground.
With wind-sculpted red cliffs and wide-open horizons -- the wonders of nature are all around you. You will experience the sun, sand and salt air and learn to seize their visual essence. You're invited to create your own vision of the Iles de la Madeleine as Nigel takes you to easily-accessible locations on both the east and west sides of the island.
There will be some historical and cultural components to your guided tour, with a primary focus on the photographic experience.
Please note: The itinerary will be planned based on lighting, time of day and weather conditions. Bring your camera or device; anything from a top-end camera to a cell phone or tablet is perfectly acceptable. This tour is geared towards beginners and hobby photographers; no extensive prior knowledge is required.
