Discover the exceptional beauty of the Mingan Archipelago on an inflatable RIB (rigid inflatable boat) ride departing from Havre-Saint-Pierre. You will be awestruck by the surreal beauty of towery limestone monoliths rising from the turquoise waters, creating an unforgettable experience amid the remote splendor of this natural wonderland.
The scenic cruise – an experience in itself – takes you to Ile Quarry. Then, a Parks Canada heritage presenter will accompany you on a walk along the loop trail. Discover a natural botanic garden as you walk past a wide variety of habitats – shoreline, boreal forest, peat bogs, barrens, and cliffs. Keep an eye out for local fauna and flora, which will be explained by your guide.
This island is also home to a former sea cliff, now concealed within the boreal forest. An amazing journey awaits you as you walk to Anse des Erosions. Here monoliths, referred to as "flowerpots" resist the ravages of time and erosion.
After your walk, re-board the boat for the return trip and take time to enjoy the scenery from a brand-new perspective.
Please note: If operated by zodiac, a life jacket is provided for each guest and must be worn. Dress warmly in layers with a wind- and waterproof outer layer; bring gloves, a scarf, and a warm hat. Duration may vary slightly. The type of vessel may vary depending on weather conditions.
