Discover the exceptional beauty of the Mingan Archipelago by RIB (rigid inflatable boat) ride departing from Havre-Saint-Pierre. You will be awestruck by the surreal beauty of towery limestone monoliths rising from the turquoise waters, creating an unforgettable experience amid the remote splendor of this natural wonderland.
This scenic cruise takes you to Ile Quarry. Here, you'll meet up with a Parks Canada heritage presenter who will accompany you on a walk along the loop trail. Discover a natural botanic garden as you walk past a wide variety of habitats -- shoreline, boreal forest, peat bogs, barrens, and cliffs. Keep an eye out for local fauna and flora, which will be explained by your guide.
This island is also home to a former sea cliff, now concealed within the boreal forest. An amazing journey awaits you as you walk to Anse des Erosions. Monoliths, referred to as flowerpots, resist the ravages of time and erosion.
After your walk, reboard the boat for the return trip and take time to enjoy the scenery from a brand-new perspective.
Please note: Life jackets are provided for the RIB ride and must be worn. It is essential that you wear warm, layered clothing to fully enjoy and participate in this excursion; outer layer should be waterproof and windproof. Bring gloves, a warm hat and a scarf. Wear sturdy non-skid walking shoes. Duration may vary slightly. The tour operator reserves the right to substitute a different type of vessel in certain weather and sea conditions.
