Discover the exceptional beauty of the Mingan Archipelago on a boat trip departing from Havre-Saint-Pierre.
This scenic cruise takes you to Petite Ile au Marteau. A Parks Canada heritage presenter will accompany you on a walk to the lighthouse station. This easy-to-moderate walk allows you to discover the flora of the island and the lighthouse that has helped prevent shipwrecks since 1915. The lifestyle of the lighthouse keepers will be revealed, as well as the secrets of the shoreline.
On your way to the lighthouse station, stop at the lookout and enjoy the panoramic view offered by the sea-sculpted limestone cliffs of Grosse Ile au Marteau.
Please note: Participants with mobility limitations may be able to participate with a companion to assist. It is essential that you wear warm, layered clothing to fully enjoy and participate in this excursion; outer layer should be waterproof and windproof. Bring gloves, a warm hat and a scarf. Wear sturdy non-skid walking shoes. Duration may vary slightly.
