Enjoy the beauty and tranquility of Saguenay National Park, beginning with a one-hour scenic drive from the ship. This excursion is your chance experience the grandeur of Saguenay Fjord – a staggering scale of time and space in a land where nature has made use of its colossal forces to carve out this incision into the land. The magnificent topography you will see today was sculpted by glaciers roughly 10 million years ago.
Upon arrival, join your guide for a 1½-mile hike along the Point de Vue du Soupir trail to the halfway point at the statue of Our Lady of Saguenay, where you will have remarkable views of the fjord and the surrounding mountains, rivers, and valleys.
A hiking tour of Saguenay National Park is the perfect way to make your visit to Saguenay exciting and unforgettable.
Please note: Transportation to the park is by school bus and is shared between all park activities. The hike will take approximately two hours round-trip with a rise in elevation of 450 feet and is suitable for advanced hikers. Not advisable for guests using a wheelchair.
