Enjoy the beauty and tranquility of Saguenay National Park at a leisurely pace with a one-hour scenic drive from the ship to the Saguenay National Park Interpretive Center.
Join your guide for an easy one-hour stroll along the Meandres des Falaises trail and discover the Eternity River Delta. You'll learn about the creation and characteristics of Saguenay Fjord, whose magnificent topography was sculpted by glaciers about 10 million years ago. You will also learn what makes a fjord, how it was shaped, and why the waters of the Saguenay River are so dark and salty. Learn about the sand dunes (or are they marine terraces?) and which species can be regularly observed in the park. You'll also hear about the habits of the St-Lawrence Seaway's aquatic life.
You will have time to shop in the gift boutique.
Please note: Transportation to the park is by school bus and is shared between all park activities. Tour requires up to two hours of walking. Wear comfortable walking shoes. Dress warmly in layered clothing with gloves, a scarf, and a hat; outer layer should be windproof and waterproof. Bring a backpack to stow any layers you shed.
