Adventurous souls will want to explore the beauty of Saguenay Fjord by zodiac.
Transfer from the pier in La Baie to Saguenay National Park -- a 60-minute scenic drive.
After an approximately 800-meter walk you will be given a safety briefing before boarding the zodiac boat for a 1¼-hour journey across the dark waters of the fjord, bounded by high rocky capes that dive just as steeply below the surface. You'll find that there is an air of mystery to Saguenay Fjord -- you can't help wondering what can be hidden beneath these black waters. Although it seems very quiet at the surface, the fjord is teeming with aquatic life. It is a haven for numerous species of fish and marine invertebrates. Learn about the geological, biological and morphological development of the fjord as you glide by the impressive landscapes and towering cliffs of this natural wonder.
Back on land, you will have some free time at the Saguenay National Park Interpretive Center to browse in the gift shop.
