If you love trying local foods in faraway places, you'll love this culinary walking tour of downtown Charlottetown.
Known as the Birthplace of Confederation, Charlottetown hosted the 1864 Conference that began the process of establishing Canada as an independent nation. That important history comes alive through the engaging stories of some of the city's most fascinating people, buildings and events.
Led by a friendly and knowledgeable guide, this 3 hour walk-and-taste adventure introduces you to some of Prince Edward Island's special foods and beverages, and a bit of Charlottetown's history as well.
Along the way, you will stop at several restaurants and a brew pub. Tastes include fresh mussels, oysters, craft beer and more.
Please note: Tour includes tastings of seafood and other items that might trigger allergies. Participants with food allergies should inquire about ingredients while on the tour and use their own discretion. Some locations require climbing 10-20 stairs. Tour requires about two miles of walking; however, the most walking done at any given stretch is about thirty minutes. Many of the tasting venues have seating available. Tour is not recommended for guests with mobility issues. Must be at least 19 years of age ot consume alcoholic beverages. All guests should be prepared to show photo ID at venues if asked.
