The focus of this outing is the beautiful diversity of Nova Scotia's South Shore. Your day begins pier side and you will travel the scenic Lighthouse Route to famed Peggy's Cove.
You'll have approximately one hour of free time to capture with your camera the iconic Peggy's Cove Lighthouse, perched on the granite shores of the cove. Take the brief stroll into the village, overlooking the mighty Atlantic Ocean, and see the De Garthe Monument – carved from raw granite and paying tribute to the local fisherman. You'll have some time to browse in the local shops offering all manner of items from tasty treats to kitsch, cute and quaint arts, and crafts.
Next visit the town of Mahone Bay, which is considered one of the most attractive towns in Canada. It is renowned for the view from across the harbor, which encompasses three prominent churches. Enjoy free time in this friendly community to explore the shops along the lovely Main Street.
Your tour ends with a relaxing drive back to the port of Halifax, as your tour guide shares local history and stories of the area.
