Take in Halifax’s iconic tastes and views at the best time of day… sunset. Depart the pier for a scenic ride through Halifax as you travel to the idyllic fishing community of Peggy's Cove. Once you arrive be swept away by the picturesque scenery of this village that dates to 1811.
Enjoy your leisure time taking in the magnificent sight of the Peggy’s Cove lighthouse at sunset, shopping, or exploring the village. The lonely lighthouse stands atop a granite outcrop lashed by the sea. Take your camera, as this is a scene that has inspired artists and photographers for decades. Next you will visit the Sou’Wester for a lobster cracking demo and taste a traditional East Coast lobster dinner.
After time in Peggy's Cove return to Halifax and enjoy a panoramic drive around the Halifax Citadel to view a few notable illuminated sights such as the Halifax Clock Tower, the Halifax waterfront, the naval ships, and the bridges crossing Halifax harbor before returning to your ship.
Please note: At Peggy’s Cove, visitors are asked to stay off the rocks and away from the shoreline. Terrain includes gravel pathways, paved areas, wooden decking, cement sidewalks, inclines, steps and rocky areas.
