Begin your excursion with a short shuttle transfer to the top of Signal Hill and from there you will set out on an approximately one-mile guided hike.
Take in spectacular panoramic views of the coastal landscape and captivating scenery of one of the Canada's busiest working ports -- considered by many to be North America's 'first city'. Discover the area's most popular hiking trail while descending almost 500 feet in elevation to sea level.
Admire the harbor narrows and the Atlantic Ocean, watch the mist and fog roll in toward the shore, smell the salty sea air and hear the songs of the gulls as they wheel overhead. You'll see many varieties of wildflowers and berry bushes as well as a multitude of different birds -- from small songbirds and seabirds to the mighty bald eagle.
At the end of the trail, head back toward the ship on foot via the New World's first European street, pausing to browse at local art and craft galleries along the way.
Please note: Participants must negotiate stairs, rough terrain and/or uneven surfaces. Wildlife sightings are likely but are not guaranteed.
