You won’t want to miss this adventurous escape through Belize’s wildlife-rich lagoon and local community. Here you’ll be mesmerized by local wildlife, music, rum, and sightseeing.
Take a short 30-minute airboat nature ride through some of the healthiest mangrove ecosystems in the Caribbean in the Almond Hill Lagoon. This will introduce you to some of the many species native and endemic to Belize as you navigate among lily pads and marshes.
Next you’ll listen to some live Garifuna music, including drumming and dancing. The Garifuna ethnic group is of African and Amerindian descent, originating from fugitive slaves who were welcomed into local communities. Their music and dance is a uniquely Belizean tradition, where each and every step has a precise meaning. It has been awarded UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage status.
From here you’ll taste Belizean rum and fruit wine, also available for purchase.
Enjoy guided Belize City sightseeing during your transfers.
