Have a local experience on a "yole," one of the most famous sailboats in Martinique. Once used to help inhabitants of the West Indies explore the richness of the Caribbean, riding a yole is now a sporting activity. You cannot leave the island without living this Martinican experience.
Hop aboard a traditional yole and you’ll instantly feel a thrill on this light, narrow, and elongated boat. With the famous yole navigator Georges-Henry and his team, sail the turquoise waters of Le Marin, off the southern part of the island.
You’ll instantly feel like part of the friendly on-board team, as you hold the helm, pull the sail or climb on the bwa dressé to balance the boat.
The unique yole is part of Martinican culture and is also part of UNESCO’s intangible world heritage. Once used as a fishing boat, today it’s purely for sporting activities.
During your fun sailing adventure, you’ll stop for a snack on a stunning beach.
