Explore the island of St. Martin, ruled by two nations – the Dutch to the south and the French to the north.
Departing the charming town of Marigot, enjoy a drive through the picturesque countryside to the village of Grand Case, the gourmet capital of the Caribbean and home to some 40 restaurants. The beach here is as gorgeous as the French cuisine is rich.
From Hope Hill, you will take in the breathtaking view of Orient Beach. Drive through French Quarter en route to the Rotary Look Out Point. Peer down over Oyster Bay for mesmerizing views of uninhabited Tintamarre and the popular island of St. Barth's.
You will stop in Philipsburg – the Dutch capital – for browsing and shopping.
Next, you’ll pass the salt ponds – once the main source of revenue for the island – and head to the top of Cole Bay Hill. Cole Bay Hill offers a wonderful view of the marinas and the neighboring islands of St. Kitts, Nevis, Statia and Saba.
Continue on to Carousel Gelataria, an island treasure. Don't miss this chance to sample delicious Italian gelato produced from the finest ingredients. While there, stroll through the nearby tropical garden.
Along the way, watch for the Frontier Monument that serves as the border between the two countries before returning to the ship.
