A scenic panoramic drive takes you through the capital city of Roseau, with brief stops at Morne Bruce and the Botanic Gardens.
The Roseau Valley, with its lush vegetation and pumice cliffs, leads to the popular Trafalgar Falls. Hike 10-15 minutes through the rainforest to the viewing platform to admire these National Treasures.
The stunning and serene landscapes that characterize Dominica as the rugged Nature Isle are your companions en route to the "wellness" village of Wotten Waven. The geothermally heated hot pools here are in a natural and rustic outdoor setting. Channel your inner nature lover, as this is nothing like a spa at home.
Walk down a flight of natural steps to the open-air pools for a 30-minute hot mineral bath. The water comes directly from an underground source. A mineral mud scrub will leave your skin feeling silky smooth.
Lounge in the shade on handmade benches, inhale the fresh mountain breeze, and enjoy a bottle of water before a re-energized you returns to the ship.
Please note: Minimum age is 14 years. Participants are required to wash off any sunscreen residue before entering the pools. Wear your swimsuit under your clothing; bring a towel, a cover-up for further protection from the sun, and a hat. Bathe at your own risk. Terrain includes uneven and rocky paths. Not advisable for guests using a wheelchair or for those with mobility limitations. The route is winding. Guests who are prone to motion sickness should consider this before booking and/or take appropriate medication.
