A tour of St. Lucia via the Segway provides you with a unique and eco-friendly way to explore the island’s scenic beauty, where you can effortlessly glide through picturesque landscapes, learn about local culture, and enjoy fun and memorable adventure with wind in your hair.
First, meet your guide and listen to instructions on how to control your personal Segway scooter – an intuitive machine that responds to your body-language. You'll be surprised at how quickly you get the hang of it and how fun it is to ride.
Once you've mastered the Segway, you'll set out to explore, beginning with a long gentle glide up along an extensive trail system. Your guide provides an interesting narrative, covering everything from the beautiful flowers and butterflies, to battles between France and Britain. Pause at Pebble Beach, the site of many a heated stone-skipping tournament.
Continue up beautiful Mount Pimard, stopping along the way for photos and some educational commentary. You'll visit the sealed bunkers that once served as tunnels, storage and lookouts for the American military during World War II.
Enjoy a refreshing local juice and dry snacks.
As you descend, take a detour for stunning panoramic views of Pigeon Island, Reduit Beach, the Rodney Bay Marina and the Caribbean Sea. Conclude your excursion with a relaxing Segway glide along the beach.
Please Note: Stamina to use ankle and leg movements to control the Segway and ability to stand for the duration of the tour are required. Segway participants must remain alert to their surroundings, the condition of the terrain and possible traffic. Minimum age is 12 years. Maximum weight is 280 lbs. Cool, comfortable clothing is recommended. Wear sunscreen. A waiver must be signed to participate.
