Embarking on this sensory and immersive experience means you’ll have the chance to imbibe and eat the Martinique way. With stops at a world-renowned distillery and a restaurant run by one of the finest chefs in Martinique, this extraordinary excursion will tantalize your taste buds and undoubtedly be one of the highlights of your Caribbean getaway.
Start your adventure by heading to the Trois Rivières Distillery in southwestern Martinique. This distillery is set on verdant green rolling hills and is home a traditional AOC rum. Surrounding sugarcane has been processed here since 1660, making everything about the experience hyper local.
Here you’ll be invited to taste the rum and decide for yourself how it stacks up.
Next, you’ll visit Prisca Restaurant, where you’ll learn all about life in Martinique – an exercise that includes the making of traditional fritters using fresh seasonal produce. Chef Prisca Morjon has some stories to share of life on the island and will weave tales throughout your journey in her kitchen. Tasting various French West Indian aperitifs makes the fritter-making process much easier, and the final product is delicious.
Please note: The route is winding. Guests who are prone to motion sickness should consider this before booking and/or take appropriate medication. Minimum age is 12 years.
