Follow the scenic byway known as the Paradise Valley Road on a 4x4 vehicle panoramic drive through the neighborhood of Iligh, in the district of Tazeroualt. From there, it's onwards through the palm groves and gorges of the River Tamrhakht and up into the mountains towards Imouzzer. The varying landscape, which is ever-changing, highlights local traditional houses, set among argan trees and a backdrop of the Atlas Mountains.
Enjoy a photo stop and a panoramic view of the village of Al Ma.
Take an easy-to-moderate walk down into the valley, led by your informative guide who will tell you about the local flora and fauna and region's the interesting natural history. In a botanical garden, view the plethora of plants used for artisanal extraction of essential oils. The argan tree is indigenous to the arid southwest region of Morocco. This thorny tree has a deep root system that is well adapted to the semi-desert environment. Characterized by its toughness, an argan tree can live up to 200 years. The rare oil produced from the argan tree, in its purest form, is well-known across the globe for its exceptional quality, and accordingly, its stratospheric price tag.
