Polignano a Mare is a town in the Province of Bari, Puglia, located on the Adriatic Sea. Arguably one of the most romantic spots in the region, a craggy slice of land with several caves that has seen its fair share of invaders throughout history along its limestone cliffs. The historical, white-watched Medieval town is just as pleasant as the adjoining coastline. You will be transferred by motorcoach to Polignano a Mare, famous for its white cliffs facing the blue Adriatic Sea. Crystal clear waters and cliffs pitted with caves carved by the sea give Polignano a Mare its uniqueness.
Board the private boats and sail around the impressive cliff, and you will be able to admire 15 km of the Apulian coastline. After the boat tour, enjoy a walking tour of this small town, also as the “Pearl of the Adriatic.” Polignano is the birthplace of the renowned singer Domenico Modugno, who became famous worldwide for his song Volare (“In the Sky, Painted Blue”).
The view around the statue is amazing! We’ll visit the historical center, the heart of a lovely restored ancient village on the Adriatic Coast, the entrance is via an old archway into a narrow flag-paved street with charming shops and cafes. Downtown is a matter of culture and history, amazing, nice buildings, and a very special atmosphere. It is a labyrinth of treats, old houses all linked to each other, little squares, and all standing huddled together over a series of caves fringed by the sea below.
Lunch will be provided at Terrazze Moachile Restaurant. This place you’re experiencing is much more than a restaurant in Polignano a Mare with a breathtaking view.
Imagine breathing the scent of the sea and looking out onto a wonderful terrace, set in one of the most evocative and suggestive places in Polignano. An exclusive and unconventional location where good food and a dream panorama blend perfectly.
