Discover the secrets of the world-famous sherry produced in the province of Cádiz. The climate of Puerto de Santa Maria is so different from anywhere else in Andalusia that it is possible to cultivate the grapes that produce all three main sherry varieties.
Leaving Cádiz, you'll drive to the town of Puerto de Santa Maria, located 25 minutes away. During the drive, you will see the landscape change from coastal drylands to fertile, cultivated vineyards.
Upon arrival in Puerto de Santa Maria, walk through narrow, winding streets to see the charming highlights of the town. You will also visit the award-winning Bodega Osborne Cellars, built in the 19th century and set in a historic district. This is the only cellar committed exclusively to producing the oldest sherries recognized by the Regulatory Board. A cellar expert will take you on a tour of the property, explaining the process of creating sherry from grape cultivation to bottling. Seabourn has arranged an exclusive tasting of the different sherries, paired with some local gastronomic delicacies.
Browse through Spanish history and art in the adjacent small art gallery; then, re-board the motorcoach for the scenic drive back to the pier.
