Depart the pier for a scenic drive to Viñas la Cerca, in the countryside of Cartagena, situated on the outskirts of the city.
Upon arrival, a member of the Alcaraz Family will personally welcome you to his family vineyard that has more than 150 years of history. You will discover the traditional crops of the local varieties of Monastrell and Merseguera grapes, which are grown in a process respectful of the environment.
Proceed to visit the small museum he has created and learn more about the winery and its wine cellar that has maintained its know-how and great dedication to selecting the very best and richest wines of Cartagena.
Take the chance to taste traditional wines and some typical countryside food, such as artichoke hearts with salted roe, a cheese selection, chips, olives, and Iberian cold cuts. This is accompanied by two great wines: a red hand-made Monastrell wine and a white Meseguera Viñas La Cerca Artesano -- the original golden wine of the Cartagena countryside.
Enjoy a panoramic drive into the city center and a short walk along Cartagena main's street, with some free time before returning to the pier.
