Enjoy a taste of the good life in Provence with a visit to a traditional village and a winery.
A panoramic drive to Gassin provides an opportunity to take in the beautiful landscapes of mountains and vineyards of this famously scenic region. At 600 feet in elevation, Gassin offers spectacular views over the Gulf of St Tropez and the majestic Maures Mountains. Its network of alleyways and winding streets take you past pastel-colored buildings -- a genuine slice of Provençal character.
Continue to a wine estate set in the heart of the St Tropez Peninsula, among the rolling, forest-clad hills and serpentine rivers. 112 acres of prime land are devoted to the growing of grapes, sustainably harvested since 1900 -- long before sustainability and respect for the land were fashionable.
A short walk about the estate introduces you to the wine-making process, from vine to barrel hall. Step into the cellars to learn sample some of the estate’s popular wines. In true Provençal style, the wine tasting will be accompanied by some local taste treats.
