Nicknamed the Pearl of the Adriatic, Dubrovnik has long been a cultural capital with deep artistic traditions and the famous explorer, Jacques Cousteau, dubbed the Dubrovnik Riviera some of the cleanest waters in the world.
A short boat ride takes you from the Old Town of Dubrovnik across the water to St Jacob Beach -- one of the city’s most popular recreation spots. Its lovely pebble strand is lined with shade trees and the clear water is eminently swimmable.
Sun umbrellas and lounge chairs are available (at your own expense).
Please note: Wear your swimsuit under your clothing; bring a towel, sunscreen and a hat. Wear comfortable walking shoes. Adriatic beaches consist of fine pebbles rather than sand. The beach is not suitable for children as the water becomes deep quite quickly.
Please note:Wear your swimsuit under your clothing; bring a towel, reef-safe/biodegradable sunscreen, a cover-up for further protection from the sun, and a hat. Bring local currency, as many vendors do not accept credit cards or US dollars. The boat transfer is approximately 20 minutes each way.
