Cunda is one of the most beautiful islands in the Aegean. Its historic buildings and striking turquoise waters ensure it’s a place that impresses all who visit.
Walk through the cobblestone streets decorated with olive trees. Greek stone houses with shutters in many colors make it feel like a step back in time.
Step inside the former Taksiyarhis Church -- now a museum whose exhibits include a wide range of items, from tin toys to steam train models and time-measuring instruments. Take a good look at the building, too. It was built in 1844 as a Greek Orthodox cathedral and features decorated marble columns and frescoed vaults.
You will also visit a restored library.
Use your free time for a stroll through the beautiful streets of Cunda and purchase a refreshment at an authentic café (at your own expense) before returning to the pier in Dikili.
Please note: Terrain includes even and uneven surfaces, cobblestones, inclines, and steps. Wear sturdy non-skid walking shoes.
