This relaxing and enjoyable tour will take you cycling in and around Funchal as you enjoy the sensational scenery the city has to offer.
At the pier, you'll select a bike and listen to a safety briefing and an introduction to the route. Then, set out with your guide and head to the local market. Browse among the stalls of fruit, vegetables, flowers, and fish.
Next, enter the Old Town, brimming with historical buildings, narrow streets and popular cafés. In the Lido area, you'll find a relatively new coastal promenade that is popular with the locals for its beaches and water-related activities.
You will pass Santa Catarina Park as you cycle back to the pier.
Please note: Wear closed-toe shoes (mandatory). The route may vary depending upon traffic and road conditions. You will cycle approximately nine miles over even road surfaces. The market is closed Saturday afternoons, Sundays, and holidays.
