Enjoy a scenic one-hour drive to Santiago. Upon arrival, set off on a guided walking tour past the Town Hall, the Pazo, and the Palace of Saint Jerome on your way to Obradoiro Square.
Step inside the remarkable Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela, dating from 1122. It is believed to be where Christ's Apostle, James, is buried. Half a million pilgrims arrive in Santiago each year, eager to see the great shrine containing the relics of Saint James. Admire the incredible façade, which includes three different architectural styles.
Next, head to the spectacular Hotel of the Catholic Kings for a special local tapas lunch. Built in 1486, it is considered not only the oldest continuously operating hotel in the world but also among the most beautiful in Europe. Its exterior is austere, but its interior is beyond luxe.
Enjoy some free time to explore the Old Town on your own before returning to Ferrol.
