Once a humble fishing village, St Tropez is today a lively seaside resort entrenched in Provençal culture and traditions but surrounded by mega-yachts that almost dwarf the town. For decades it has been touted as the playground of the rich and famous, but it still attracts visitors of all demographics because its appeal is universal.
Enjoy a walking tour around the harbor and past the highlights of the Old Town. Its lively squares and open spaces include the famous Place des Lices, where the locals meet to play pétanque.
