Portovenere, Cinque Terre & the Islands (Palmaria, Tino & Tinetto)
"The Ligurian coast between Cinque Terre and Portovenere is a cultural landscape of great scenic and cultural value. The layout and disposition of the small towns and the shaping of the surrounding landscape, overcoming the disadvantages of a steep, uneven terrain, encapsulate the continuous history of human settlement in this region over the past millennium."
From Genoa it's a scenic two-hour drive to Manarola -- one of the villages of the legendary Cinque Terre. Tour this enchanting village on foot, seeing its typical fishing wharf and feeling its lovely waterfront ambience.
Board the public boat to reach Vernazza (or travel by local train in the event of inclement weather) and enjoy a short tour of this picturesque village.
Take the boat or train to Monterosso. After a guided tour, you'll have some free time to purchase lunch (at your own expense) and for some shopping.
Return by local train to Levanto and reboard the coach for the drive back to Genoa.
Please note: Extensive driving times are involved. Boat and train transportation is not exclusive to Seabourn and may be crowded. The Cinque Terre villages tend to be quite crowded in the summertime. Lunch is not included; you will have time to purchase lunch at your own expense in Monterosso. Use of an audio headset (included) will enhance your tour experience.
