Board your coach for an unguided drive with your escort to Ramla il-Hamra Beach, literally meaning 'Red Sands'.
Ramla il-Hamra is the largest sandy beach on Gozo. This family-friendly beach is a stretch of red sand that is also a historic site. The Knights of St John fortified Ramla il-Hamra against enemy intrusion. Today, a statue dedicated to Our Lady of Hope stands in the middle of the beach.
You will be escorted to your sunbed, where you'll settle in for some sunbathing and, if you wish, for some swimming in the clear waters. There are nearby beach bars where you can purchase refreshing drinks, including the local bittersweet soda or beer (at your own expense).
Re-join the coach for the return to the ship at the end of your day under Gozitan skies.
Please note: There is an escort on this tour but it is not guided. Wear your swimsuit under your clothing; bring a towel, sunscreen and a hat. Parts of the beach are pebbly rather than sandy, therefore wearing water shoes is recommended. The beach bars are rather simple.
