Discover D’Alt Vila, the old town of Ibiza, with our walking tour through its narrow streets, hidden corners, learn about its history and legends.
From the pier you will drive to Ibiza old town where you will experience the warm atmosphere of the old town of Ibiza. It was declared an Unesco World Heritage Site in 1999. Its stones, alcoves, and buidings captivate anyone who go into its narrow, cobbled streets, stumbling across all shorts of treasures from the different civilisations that have lived on this magical island. Stunning views from the upper part of Dalt Vila where you will have the chance to take incredible photos. The walls of Dalt Vila date back to the 16th century. It was King Phillip II who, concerned with safeguarding the island against possible Pirate and Ottoman attacks from the sea, ordered the magnificent walls to be built.
Why did the island need protection? The wealth and the value of its resources was well known back then too! First able you will visit the Cathedral. Then from this highest part of Dalt Vila you will walk down through the cobbled streets until you will reach one of the seven bastions where the workshop will take place.
After the walking tour we will take you to a local bar for the sangria workshop. You will learn the history of the most typical Spanish drink and you will learn how to prepare it. Then you will taste your own sangria and you will be served local tapas to accompany the drink.
